The City of Onkaparinga is a local government area (LGA) located on the southern fringe of Adelaide.
It is named after the Onkaparinga River, whose name comes from Ngangkiparinga, a Kaurna word meaning women’s river. It is the largest LGA in South Australia, with an estimated population of 164,800 people in both urban and rural communities and is also geographically expansive, encompassing an area of 518.3 km².
The council is headquartered in the Noarlunga Centre with area offices situated in Aberfoyle Park, Woodcroft and Willunga.

The City of Onkaparinga was formed on the 1 July 1997, from the amalgamation of the former Cities of Happy Valley and Noarlunga with part of the District Council of Willunga.



Community Centres SA Incorporated is the peak body for Community and Neighbourhood Centres across South Australia.

Established in 1983 as Community and Neighbourhood Houses and Centres Association, Community Centres SA acts as a catalyst for community development through the provision of services, support, advice, advocacy and professional development opportunities, working with members on a statewide basis.

Community Centres SA is a proud member of the Australian Neighbourhood Houses and Centres Association (ANHCA), representing 1,000 centres nationally.




The Department of Further Education, Employment, Science and Technology (DFEEST) is the South Australian Government’s key agency driving employment, skills development, research and technology in the State.




The mission of Southern Volunteering (SA) Inc is to provide a vital leadership role in advancing volunteering in the southern region of South Australia through the promotion and delivery of services, resources and support to the mutual benefit of the individual and the community.
